fantastic central spot for exploring florence's treasures

Staying in this cozy spot made my walks around florence good, as it was only a few minutes away from the duomo and the bustling central market, which let me immerse myself in the city's charm effortlessly.

Superb breakfast with homemade jams, good location. Very helpful and welcoming staff at all times. Pretty close to the airport, 10 km.

it was adjacent to local sights, nice restaurants nearby and including a 10 minute walk to the train station, good and excellent location overall. the room we had included an electric kettle, air conditioning, and a personal safe. the staff was pretty friendly and helpful and solved our problems immediately.

La Stella D'Oro was fantastic! Enrico was super helpful, and the location made exploring Florence easy. The rooms were clean and cozy, and I loved the powerful shower. Just a bit cramped for a family of four, but overall, a lovely stay!

The rooms where neat and airy with spacious beds, the breakfast was superb. The bathroom was excellant, also it included central heating, a personal safe and pay TV.

the room was spotless and airy with fruit salad, great bathrooms and safety measures included smoke detectors. the jewel in the crown was pretty friendly stuff. the location was particularly good, relatively close to an art museum.

Oh, the juicy burgers at nearby Mangiafuoco Bracerie were epic, and the breakfast at La Stella D'Oro was spot-on with a perfect spread! Enrico and Filippo's hospitality.

Where it excels and where it fails

The excellent location made exploring easy, with key attractions just a short walk away.

Some challenges arose due to an inconvenient room key setup and minor noise from guests, affecting overall comfort.

The powerful shower provides a refreshing experience, perfect after a day of exploring. Unique amenities include well-maintained rooms that offer cozy comfort.

Unfortunately, the TV channels are entirely in Italian, limiting options for English news. The room size can feel cramped, especially for families. This can pose a challenge when three people are trying to fit into a bed that's just five feet wide. The air conditioning doesn't cool effectively, often just circulating warm air, which can be uncomfortable during hotter days.

La Stella D'Oro B&B impressed me with its cozy atmosphere. Enrico's hospitality. I appreciated the effective air conditioning, a huge relief during the warm weather. Room cleanliness stood out. Everything felt fresh and tidy throughout my stay. I loved the shared kitchen with a cold filtered water machine, reducing plastic waste and keeping us hydrated. The hot breakfast spread was delicious, with freshly prepared items each morning. I did encounter some noise from street activity, which could be distracting at times. I had a great experience, but think families might find the rooms a little tight for comfort.
